sicky sicky sick
I have been sick for the past week. Boo. It started off with a sore throat and then turned into sore throat, body aches, fatigue, and a cough. Then, all of a sudden, Saturday brought on fever, chills, and SERIOUS lack of energy. I felt so crummy that I had to call Travis and ask him to cancel on his clients for the rest of the day so he could come home and take care of me. He was not so enthusiastic about this because he had a busy day scheduled. However, he was a good husband and he obliged. He came home and took care of me (and more importantly took care of Lyla as I was clearly not able to). My fever broke and I started to feel better. I was even able to eat a piece of raisin toast. By Monday, I had somehow developed a gnarly ear infection and what I thought was pink eye. I can't lie, I felt sorry for myself and actually cried. First thing Monday morning, Trav took me to urgent care and we saw a nice nurse practitioner after about three hours of waiting. Turns out that I had a "viral infection" and that my body "fought it pretty well on its own". She gave me a prescription for amoxacillin and we were off to see the pharmacist. I am feeling better now, but I still have a persistent cough that keeps me awake at night. Benadryl helps. I hope to post again with better and more exciting news. In the words of Eeyore, "Oh, bother."

Fun with cousins
When I watch Lyla play with her cousins, it reminds me of the biggest reason to buy a house in Winchester. Lyla has so much fun with Nia. Emilia will be right in the mix in a few more months. These girls are adorable together!
