We went to see Wicked last night in LA and it was so amazing. I'm not one for musicals, but I had heard so many great things about the show. So, Trav got us tickets for my birthday and we got to have a date night last night. Thank God for grandmas and breast pumps!
My favorite performance was "Popular". Galinda ( it's Ga-linda with a Gaaaaaa) was hilarious. The flying monkeys were freakish...is it really necessary that they be so scary?
So, next on my list is Phantom of the Opera. The Pantages theater is gorgeous and I would LOVE to see Phantom there.

i'm not big on musicals either, but i also saw wicked. i thought it was great!
i'm big on musicals, but definitely have a categorical love for them. some additional suggestions for you, similar to my level of like of wicked:
-rent
-legally blonde, the musical (seriously)
-in the heights
keep your eye out for future shows!
