...well, sort of. all of our belongings are currently taking up space in our new garage. the house is still a work in progress. it's coming along nicely, but it will likely be thursday or friday before we can actually spend the night at the new place. i think we were being a little too ambitious in expecting the construction work to actually be completed on the original timeline. oh well, at least we get to hangout with some of our favorite people! we've been staying at nick and sara's lovely home since saturday night. lyla has had so much fun playing with her cousins: nia, emilia, and baby rose. i will post pictures as soon as i can. watching all the girls together is priceless and a constant reminder of why we moved out here! the heat of our new hometown has been almost unbearable with temperatures over 100 degrees, but i think (hope and pray) it is supposed to be cooler this weekend. i can't wait to post some before and after pictures of our house to show what an improvement we've seen already! travis and i are giddy with excitement when we walk around our home and talk about our plans. home improvement and interior decorating are fast becoming our favorite hobbies.
oh, and a shout out to all of our wonderful friends who helped us move this past weekend in the hot, hot heat: ryan hartegan and sarah callan, the bravos, the nelsons, jonathan "compton" swartz, ron & cheryl "grandma & grandpa" mitchell, and nick mitchell! it was the quickest i've ever seen furniture move from a home to a truck and a truck to a garage. way to go, everyone! we are so blessed to have fantastic friends and family that are there when we need them. you guys rock!
