Yesterday was a day full of celebration! We drove out to Oceanside to our old neighborhood to celebrate the 3rd birthday of Ruby Nelson. It was a colorful fiesta themed party complete with a pinata hanging in the front yard. Here's Lyla coveting Ruby's birthday cake.

and here's Cody trying to put the moves on Ruby's little sister, Frankie. Watch it there, buddy!

Pinata time! The kids had so much fun trying to hit the pinata with the bat. The little ones were a little confused and didn't quite have the coordination, but the bigger kids were all over it! It only took about three rounds to get it open.

Meanwhile, Cody is still checking out Frankie. He even took off his shirt to flex for her.

...and the pinata breaks open! Lyla really cleaned house in the gathering candy department. She was very focused.
Then it was back home to prepare for Trav's 31st cowboy/moustache birthday party.

Emilia, Nia, Lyla, and the moustached man himself participate in the fun.

Loving the moustache...

...so much that she didn't even take it off to eat. She ate her entire dinner with the thing on! She kept looking at her reflection in the window and giggling.

We LOVE you guys and are SO happy you made the trek to O-side! Thank you, thank you! The gum is almost gone and Ruby refuses to use any brush other than her HK! Love it!
The pics of the littles are so sweet, send 'em over to me. Cody is just a doll.
